Theodore Brakatselos

As a wealth advisor, Theodore (Ted) Brakatselos creates strategies for your financial needs and goals. Working together, he will guide you through the winding roads of life's financial concerns. These include insurance (life, disability, long term care) investment (college savings, retirement planning) and ultimately with retirement income and estate planning.

Ted finds answers to business owner employee benefit needs - particularly with retirement plans such as a 401(k), pension, SEP, and Simple IRA.

Prior to becoming licensed as an advisor, Ted held various positions for well-known financial institutions, including Merrill Lynch, UBS, Dreyfus, and with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Some of Ted’s most notable positions at these firms are highlighted as follows: at Dreyfus, he was a vice president responsible for representing the firm's investment capabilities to national employee benefit consulting firms. At Merrill Lynch, he was a director of the firm's 401(k) investment services group, responsible for offering and screening investment products offered to the firm's retirement plan clients. Ted managed the team of investment specialists whose roles were to consult with retirement plan trustees in the review of plan investment menu designs and options. At UBS, Ted led the effort to develop a retirement plan sales and investment product strategy for the company's asset management division. At the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Ted was a retirement plan specialist, insurance agent, and an annuity program director.

Ted has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from New York University's Stern School of Business. He has completed the AIMSE Investment Institute at Wharton Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal. Ted is married and lives on Long Island. He hosted, "Your Financial Edge" a radio program on WNYE 91.5 FM where he discussed financial matters for both individuals and businesses. He enjoys choir conducting and singing and is the assistant chanter of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection in Brookville, NY.
